The Flipmode Squad general pays tribute to fallen hip-hop greats while showing appreciation for our current living legends. Early this morning, Statik Selektah also released a blend remix to Heavy D’s 1994 song, “Nuttin’ But Love.”

According to TMZ, Hip-Hop pioneer Heavy D has passed away. He was 44. Earlier today, he was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead at 1 P.M. So far, no cause of death. D was seen last month performing at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Rest In Peace to The Overweight Lover.
